Tour Overview

This 7-day safari invites you to explore some of Tanzania’s most iconic national parks, including the vast plains of Serengeti, the diverse landscapes of Tarangire, the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, and the lush habitats of Lake Manyara. Each day brings unique wildlife encounters and spectacular landscapes, with opportunities to witness the famous Big Five and other incredible animals in their natural habitats.

Tour Itinerary

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you can glimpse Mount Kilimanjaro. Your guide will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. If time permits, enjoy an afternoon of relaxation, a city tour, or a visit to the local market.

Head to Tarangire, Tanzania’s sixth-largest national park, known for its dense population of elephants and iconic baobab trees. During the dry season, the Tarangire River attracts a variety of wildlife, including large herds of elephants, wildebeest, zebras, lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Enjoy a full day of game viewing before heading back to your lodge.

Depart early, traveling through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, observe the local Maasai herding their livestock among zebras and giraffes. Continue to Serengeti, where endless plains and an incredible variety of wildlife await. Arrive at your lodge in the heart of the park, and enjoy your first Serengeti game drive in the afternoon.

Dinner & Overnight in Serengeti

Spend the day exploring the Serengeti’s diverse ecosystems. Look for the “Big Five” and other animals like gazelles, hippos, and ostriches. The park offers stunning views and countless photo opportunities as you immerse yourself in one of the world’s most famous wildlife reserves.

Optional: Book a hot air balloon safari for an unforgettable sunrise experience.

Dinner & Overnight in Serengeti

After a morning game drive and lunch, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Travel across scenic plains to Karatu, where your lodge offers views of coffee plantations and easy access to the Ngorongoro Crater for tomorrow’s early start.

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest inactive volcanic caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the diverse habitats on the crater floor, which are home to a variety of animals, including lions, elephants, wildebeest, and the rare black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by stunning scenery before returning to your lodge in the afternoon.

Conclude your safari with a visit to Lake Manyara National Park. Known for its alkaline lake and lush landscapes, this park supports over 400 bird species and various animals, including tree-climbing lions and large flocks of flamingos. After a final game drive, transfer to the airport for your onward flight to Zanzibar or your journey home.
