Day Trip to Tarangire

Morning:

• Early Departure: Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Arusha or nearby accommodations. You will be picked up by a safari vehicle equipped with pop-up roofs for optimal game viewing and photography.
• Drive to Tarangire: The journey to Tarangire National Park typically takes around 2-3 hours, giving you time to enjoy the scenic views of the Tanzanian countryside.

Arrival:

• Entering the Park: Upon arrival, you'll enter through one of the park gates. Your guide will handle the entry formalities while you can stretch and prepare for the game drive.

Game Drive:

• Exploring the Park: Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. During the game drive, you will have the chance to spot a variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, and numerous antelope species.
• Bird Watching: The park is also a birdwatcher's paradise with over 500 species recorded. Keep an eye out for the colorful lilac-breasted roller, ostriches, and various raptors.

Lunch:

• Drive Back to Arusha: In the late afternoon, you’ll start your journey back to Arusha. Depending on the time, you might enjoy some last-minute wildlife sightings on your way out of the park.
• Evening Arrival: Arrive back at your accommodation in the early evening, with plenty of memories and photographs from your day in Tarangire.
