After a morning briefing, set out for Tarangire National Park. Known for its stunning baobab trees and largest elephant herds in northern Tanzania, this park is home to giraffes, buffaloes, lions, zebras, and various antelopes and gazelles. Upon arrival, the safari begins, with the vehicle’s roof raised for optimal wildlife viewing. After a picnic lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive before heading to your lodge outside the park for an overnight stay.

Following breakfast, travel through Karatu village towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a stop to take in the spectacular views of the crater. Continuing around the crater rim, pass through Maasai villages on the scenic drive to Serengeti National Park. At Naabi Hill, stretch your legs at a viewpoint over the Serengeti plains before continuing into the Seronera area in central Serengeti, known for its abundance of wildlife, including the Big Five. Arrive at your camp/lodge, where you’ll enjoy a peaceful night under the stars.

Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti’s vast plains. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles move across the plains. This movement also attracts predators, providing opportunities to observe dramatic wildlife interactions. Enjoy a picnic lunch amid the landscape and return to your camp/lodge in the evening for another night under the Serengeti sky.

Distance: Approx. 170 km; Driving time: 3-5 hours

At daybreak, depart Serengeti for Ngorongoro Crater. Predators are often active in the cooler hours, offering a chance to observe unique behaviors. After a scenic descent into the crater, you’ll explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to a dense population of wildlife, including the Big Five and a wide variety of birds. Following a picnic lunch, exit the crater and head to Karatu for an overnight stay at a charming lodge in the highlands.
