Starting with the ancient baobabs and thriving elephant herds of Tarangire, you’ll travel onward to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site teeming with life. Finally, venture into the vast Serengeti, where endless plains are home to the Great Migration, spectacular predator-prey interactions and expansive vistas.

After a morning briefing, set out for Tarangire National Park. Known for its stunning baobab trees and largest elephant herds in northern Tanzania, this park is home to giraffes, buffaloes, lions, zebras, and various antelopes and gazelles. Upon arrival, the safari begins, with the vehicle’s roof raised for optimal wildlife viewing. After a picnic lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive before heading to your lodge outside the park for an overnight stay.
Following breakfast, travel through Karatu village towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a stop to take in the spectacular views of the crater. Continuing around the crater rim, pass through Maasai villages on the scenic drive to Serengeti National Park. At Naabi Hill, stretch your legs at a viewpoint over the Serengeti plains before continuing into the Seronera area in central Serengeti, known for its abundance of wildlife, including the Big Five. Arrive at your camp/lodge, where you’ll enjoy a peaceful night under the stars.
Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti’s vast plains. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles move across the plains. This movement also attracts predators, providing opportunities to observe dramatic wildlife interactions. Enjoy a picnic lunch amid the landscape and return to your camp/lodge in the evening for another night under the Serengeti sky.
Distance: Approx. 170 km; Driving time: 3-5 hours
At daybreak, depart Serengeti for Ngorongoro Crater. Predators are often active in the cooler hours, offering a chance to observe unique behaviors. After a scenic descent into the crater, you’ll explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to a dense population of wildlife, including the Big Five and a wide variety of birds. Following a picnic lunch, exit the crater and head to Karatu for an overnight stay at a charming lodge in the highlands.
Distance: Approx. 160 km; Driving time: 2-3 hours
After a leisurely breakfast, begin your return journey to Arusha, arriving around noon. For those extending their adventure to Zanzibar, flights are available from either Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport. Lunch will be enjoyed en route.

Based on 4 reviews Amazing safari... Tarangire,Serengeti,Ngorongoro This was an amazing trip, made unforgettable thanks to Ele Adventures. They are well organized and attended to our every need. And we lucked out with our experienced guide we spent several days with. He knows the roads, the animals, the best spots, how to keep us--and the animals--safe. And he is obviously passionate about the animals. He takes his role of both showcasing them and protecting them seriously. Esta M2024-11-21 SAFARI Had such an amazing time in Tanzania on Safari thanks to Ele Adventures. Azael P2024-11-21 Best trip ever I have done my first trip with Ele Adventures It was a 6-day safari in Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater, Tarangire Park and Lake Manyara. I must say I got a lifetime experience that I will never forget. Our guide was one of the best guides I have ever met. He made it to his mission that we should be able to see all the animals we wished to see, not just “the big five”. All the arrangements were very well organized, and I must say that every day went above my expectations. I hope to travel with Ele Adventures again. I can highly recommend them💪 Jennifer M2024-11-21 Great experience! Great guide! It was a really great experience! Our driver Willy was a great guide and made it possible for us to see the big 5! He was very experienced and knew his way around but was also fun to be around. He also asked us what we would like and changed some things to make it even better for us!He planned the whole safari so we didn’t have to plan anything!Overall we would definitely recommend! 😊 Curious933542024-11-20Reviews
